Anush, The Mother of Dragons
"The Mother of Dragons is a revered figure found in Ancient Armenian folk tales and epic songs, which speak of a powerful yet peaceful woman by the name of Anush.
The Wife of the Dragon was also a name used to reference Anush, being the wife of Argavan, the chief of the Vishapner (dragons) who were shape-shifting creatures that would transform from human into dragon-form. These mythological beings were also seen as the cause for volcanic eruptions and earthquakes as they resided in high peaks, and around volcanoes. Not much is known about Anush but she appears as a valiant woman who lived in a ravine on the larger peak of Mount Ararat and birthed the dragons that appear in our old songs." β Pambak Games
